Job Title: Chef

Ontario inc is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our customers, as well as supervising and training kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Leadership and dependability
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The work site is a restaurant and bar, with a wet/damp and noisy environment.
