Vehicle Maintenance Specialist Opportunity

First Student Shared Services is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of school buses.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including brakes, engine tune-ups, and suspension systems.
  • Lead preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed, including parts and supplies used.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
  • Valid 310T Mechanic license.
  • Advanced problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
