Job Title: Licensed Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mechanic to join our team at First Student. As a Licensed Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of school buses.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including brakes, engine tune-ups, and transmission clutches.
  • Lead preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and maintain records of all maintenance work completed.
  • Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
  • Lead road calls and emergency services as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Valid 310T License Mechanic license.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Advanced problem-solving ability.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
