Job Title: Human Resources Officer

Sushi Jet Asian Cuisine is seeking a skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for administering staff consultation and grievance procedures, identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, and providing information or services to employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures to ensure a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements to meet the needs of our growing business.
  • Provide information or services, such as employee assistance and counselling, to support the well-being of our staff.
  • Prepare and post notices and advertisements to attract top talent.
  • Collect and screen applicants to ensure a thorough and efficient hiring process.
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Review candidate inventories to ensure the best fit for our team.
  • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews and notify applicants of results.
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process.
  • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties.
  • Recruit and hire staff to meet the needs of our business.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
