Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Gyne-Oncology team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with gynecologic cancers, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies, and provide health education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other healthcare professionals, and participate in peer review and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Four (4) years of recent, and relevant clinical nursing experience.
  • Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) required.
