Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Gyne-Oncology team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with gynecologic cancers, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Initiate treatment, including healthcare management, therapeutic interventions, and prescribing medications in accordance with regulatory standards and employer policies.
  • Collaborate with clients and other healthcare professionals to identify and assess trends and patterns that impact patient care.
  • Develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health outcomes and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote health and well-being.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Four (4) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
  • Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
