Job Summary

To provide technical support and assist in various projects related to clinical trials, both drug and device. The job will involve both clinical-based and standard wet lab-based projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and shipping blood and urine samples for clinical trials.
  • Processing patients' blood samples and extracting sample DNA for clinical research.
  • Maintaining research records and database, entering data according to established protocols.
  • Biobanking samples, recording sample inventories and shipping samples to research collaborators.
  • Assisting clinical trial by receiving drugs and equipment, organizing and filing equipment/records.
  • Ordering equipment, reagents and lab supplies; liaising with vendors, institutional finance and procurement departments.

Requirements

  • High school graduation, some additional training in a related field and a minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in a life sciences discipline required.
  • Effective oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be fastidious with respect to lab records and protocols.
  • An understanding of or background in genetics and gene expression including techniques such as PCR, cell culture, flow cytometry and ELISAs would be a strong asset.
