Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Management Specialist to support the Vice President in providing exceptional pay services, including payroll administration, WSIB administration, and executive HR services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll applications, legislative reporting, and compliance, as well as delivering high-quality pay and HR administration services to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage payroll processing, including executing payroll-related tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments

- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, such as the Income Tax Act, Workers Safety Insurance Act, Employment Standards Act, and Employment Insurance Act

- Collaborate with internal corporate groups, such as Labour Relations and Corporate Income Tax, to provide advice and guidance on proposed changes to collective agreements and policies

- Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of payroll-related applications and systems

- Provide analysis and recommendations for improving payroll processes and systems

- Participate in collective agreement bargaining, assisting in identifying and assessing the impact of changes and providing effective recommendations to guide decision makers conducting negotiations

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Experience processing pay with SAP designation (PCP or PLP)

- Experience working with unions, both managing and processing
