CancerCare Manitoba is a provincially mandated cancer authority responsible for setting strategic priorities and long-term planning for cancer and blood disorders. The organization provides clinical services to both children and adults, including prevention, early detection, diagnosis, multidisciplinary cancer treatment, and survivorship.
The cancer services delivered by CancerCare Manitoba encompass prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. The organization works closely with service delivery organizations to deliver quality cancer services to Manitobans close to home.
Director of Community Oncology and Patient Experience Role
The Director of Community Oncology and Patient Experience reports to the Chief of Clinical Operations and oversees the community oncology and patient experience portfolios. The Director will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality and safe care to Manitobans with cancer across the province.
The Director will lead the community oncology portfolio, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality and safe care to Manitobans with cancer. This includes program planning, education, evaluation, and a commitment to culturally safe, effective, and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the community oncology and patient experience portfolios
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality and safe care to Manitobans with cancer
- Lead the community oncology portfolio, including program planning, education, and evaluation
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient experience and outcomes
- Collaborate with leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support patients accessing quality cancer services
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of progressive leadership in a publicly funded health services organization
- Minimum of five years of management in healthcare and three years of program planning, development, and implementation
- Post-secondary education, training, and/or experience equivalent to a Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, communications, and leadership skills
