Experience Manager, Cineplex Back of House Operations

Overview:

Cineplex is a leading entertainment company in Canada, and we are currently seeking an experienced back of house manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, support, coach, motivate, and manage a dedicated team of back of house employees to ensure each guest enjoys an exceptional food and beverage experience.
  • Maintain a positive, professional outlook while fostering good working relationships with back of house, front of house, and regional teams, colleagues, and managers.
  • Take ownership of the guest's experience by ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of all food products through training, coaching, and supervision of cooks, a deep attention to detail, and a commitment to food excellence.
  • Manage all food inventory and stock levels.
  • Oversee hiring and reviewing staffing levels for all kitchen staff positions.
  • Work diligently with cooks to control food costs, and portion size, and ensure every dish is prepared and presented according to Cineplex's standards, including those related to food safety, food preparation, timing, cleanliness, and health and safety.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing teams, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adapt to change, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
