Job Title: Theatre Manager

Job Summary:

Cineplex is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Theatre Manager to join our team in Edmonton. As a Theatre Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of all Amusement, Food and Beverage, Guest Service and Retail operations within the venue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the efficient operation of all venue operations, ensuring high-quality customer service and a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.
  • Ensure that the facility consistently reflects Cineplex standards, and all relevant checklists and inspections are up to date as per both internal and external requirements.
  • Execute Groups & Events within the venue, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for guests.
  • Recruit, interview, train, and coach venue management, and plan for succession to ensure a strong and motivated team.
  • Manage theatre budget, grow revenue, and initiate projects to drive the business forward and strengthen Cineplex's reputation as Canada's #1 premier film exhibition company.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar environment, with a proven track record of success in managing theatre operations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret customer needs, offering appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team during high-volume business periods in multiple departments.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities, attend to employee development while continuing to meet financial targets and reporting responsibilities.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
  • Comfortable building and maintaining relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, employees, and guests.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Schedule flexibility to work extended hours as required.
