Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Infrastructure division in British Columbia. This role involves driving growth through new business opportunities and developing and maintaining external business relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market analysis to identify short- and long-term opportunities.
  • Network extensively to obtain new prospects and manage business development events.
  • Develop strategies to acquire new work and balance opportunities against the business unit's current and future backlog.
  • Participate in client presentations and business development meetings.
  • Support the preparation of internal and external white papers and market data.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to influence work decisions.
  • Create and maintain client account plans and zipper plans.
  • Gather client feedback to enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with the Proposal Manager to align with clients' needs.
  • Maintain a log of active and potential pursuits.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in sales or marketing roles, or as a project manager or construction manager.
  • Accreditation such as P.Eng, ASET, or Gold Seal certification is an asset.
  • Strong industry connectivity through local construction-related associations.
  • Established network in British Columbia of owners, consultants, and key subcontractors.
  • Exceptional listening skills and strategic insight into industry trends.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
