About the Role

As a Fire Alarm and Security Systems Specialist at Fire Safety and Protection, LLC, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm, sprinkler, and safety systems in commercial and residential settings. With minimal supervision, you will work efficiently to complete daily tasks with high precision, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to local code compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install low-voltage commercial/residential Fire Alarm and Burglar Alarm electrical installations based on blueprints and local code requirements.
  • Perform scheduled and routine preventive maintenance on various equipment/systems under contract agreements, inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Complete maintenance within assigned hours to minimize emergency calls and achieve zero callback goals.
  • Assist with new equipment start-ups and system installations, adjusting as needed to ensure full functionality.
  • Maintain company property and documentation according to established policies, handle proprietary information securely, and adhere to all safety requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes and advancements in products and technology.
  • Participate in training programs as requested.
  • Present a professional appearance and maintain a clean, organized vehicle image.
  • Be available for rotating emergency call schedules.
  • Service and inspect security alarm systems.
  • Install and service analogue CCTV systems.
  • Install and service small access control systems.
  • Maintain vehicles and inventory.
  • Design, layout, program, and install security alarm systems, access control systems, analogue CCTV, and basic IP systems.
  • Install and service wandering patient systems and nurse call systems.
  • Serve as Lead Technician on inspections, overseeing junior technicians on site.
  • Design, install, service, and program addressable security systems.
  • Troubleshoot and service all systems, demonstrating knowledge of networks relevant to security systems.
  • Train junior technicians to facilitate growth for both individuals and the company.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Business Administration Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and strong computer proficiency.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Scheduling experience is preferred.
  • A positive attitude and team player mentality.
