About the Role

The Maintenance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and upkeep of our fleet at AFD Petroleum. This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including monitoring fleet status, generating reports, scheduling maintenance, and maintaining comprehensive records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with all terminals, the Edmonton shop, Lead Hands, and dispatch group to ensure seamless communication and efficient maintenance operations.
  • Upkeep of unit information records, including make/model/CVIP/VKIP-UC/Meter Calibration/standard component list.
  • Upkeep of unit maintenance records, both paper and digital.
  • Assist with weekly KPI reports to track maintenance performance.
  • Monitoring, reporting, and planning all required inspection expiries, including CVIP/VKIP-UC/Meter Calibration.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Shop to project scheduling of all required inspections.
  • Monitoring unit hours of service and scheduling Preventative Maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate upcoming unit Preventative Maintenance with Operations and Shop.
  • Work with outside vendors to schedule equipment into various shops and ensure timely completion.
  • Audit the quality of work completed by outside shops and make recommendations to the management group.
  • Daily monitoring and reporting of equipment status, including out of service, in repair, estimated downtime, and readiness update.
  • Daily monitoring of DVIR defects reported and providing summary reports.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Shop to schedule DVIR defect repairs.
  • Update resolved defects on Samsara DVIR reports.
  • Review and audit service tickets to ensure timely completion of assigned work.
  • Prioritize and schedule work in the shop based on availability and requirements.
  • Work with management to identify shortfalls and improve efficiency within the shop.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience working as a mechanic, dispatcher, or related field.
  • Transportation industry knowledge and experience an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and email required.
  • Be mechanically inclined.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.
