Director of Equity and Community Supports

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Equity and Community Supports. This is a critical role that will play a key part in shaping our university's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion across the university.
- Provide guidance and support to faculty, staff, and students on equity-related matters.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to advance the university's equity agenda.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote equity and inclusion.
- Provide training and education on equity and inclusion to the university community.
- Monitor and report on equity-related metrics and trends.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as human rights, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior role addressing social/human/equity services and support.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale change initiatives and mentoring teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a post-secondary environment.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $97,758 to $107,798.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including membership in the Nova Scotia Public Service Superannuation Plan (PSSP).
