Social Innovation and Community Development Instructor

We are seeking a qualified Instructor to join our team at Ka Ni Kanichihk Inc., a nonprofit, community-based Indigenous-led human services organization.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing post-secondary education to adult learners in our Social Innovation and Community Development training program, operating in partnership with Red River College Polytechnic.
Key Responsibilities- Teach adult learners in a vocational college setting, utilizing knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic accounting principles.
- Develop, curate, and deliver lessons within hybrid learning environments, adapting to various learning styles and using different modalities.
- Evaluate student performance, grade, and revise content as required, while providing feedback and monitoring academic progress.
- Classroom management to ensure a smooth and effective class for all attendees, and provide additional support to students in achieving their goals.
- Two+ years' experience in teaching or training adult learners, preferably in a vocational college setting or similar.
- Post-Secondary Education in Education, Teaching for Life, is considered an asset.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to the strengths and values of Indigenous knowledge, cultural reclamation, and traditional practices.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
