Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nursing Instructor to join our team at Assiniboine Community College. As a Nursing Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Practical Nursing program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Develop and deliver curriculum for Practical Nursing courses
    • Teach students in a classroom, laboratory, or shop setting
    • Provide academic assistance and support to students
  • Course Development and Evaluation
    • Modify and develop course objectives, outlines, and curricula
    • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
  • Student Support and Advising
    • Provide guidance and support to students in academic and personal matters
    • Advise students on career options and professional development
  • Program Development and Improvement
    • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Practical Nursing program
    • Participate in program evaluation and accreditation processes
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Relevant post-secondary nursing education and significant industry experience in acute care
    • Teaching experience in an adult environment is highly desirable
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Well-developed technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Word
