Job Title: Research and Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Manager to join our team at E. Hofmann Plastics, Inc. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our research and development efforts, designing tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures, and preparing budgets and cost estimates. They will also be responsible for hiring, training, directing, and motivating staff, as well as training technicians, assistants, students, or interns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead research and development efforts to improve manufacturing processes and products
  • Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for research and development projects
  • Hire, train, direct, and motivate staff to achieve research and development goals
  • Train technicians, assistants, students, or interns on research and development procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5 years or more of experience in research and development, preferably in plastics manufacturing
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
