About the Role:
Cascades is seeking an experienced Industrial Designer to join our team as a Product Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative packaging solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and develop design concepts that meet those needs.
- Conduct research into cost, properties of production materials, and methods of production to ensure that designs are feasible and cost-effective.
- Develop manual and computer-assisted design (CAD) concepts, sketches, or models for approval.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, specifications, and guidelines for production and construct prototypes of designs.
- Consult with engineers and production staff during the manufacturing stage to ensure that designs are implemented correctly.
Requirements:
- College diploma or equivalent in Packaging Engineering/Industrial Design Technology or a similar field.
- Minimally 2 years of professional experience in industrial design and/or packaging design.
- Minimally 2 years of professional experience in the Corrugated Industry.
- Proficiency in English.
