Job Title: Business Analyst - Cost Reduction

Lumentum is a company that truly believes in its mission and values, and we're looking for a talented Business Analyst - Cost Reduction to join our team. As a Business Analyst - Cost Reduction, you will play a key role in supporting and driving cost-related initiatives within our platform.

About the Role

The Business Analyst - Cost Reduction will work extensively with large data sets, performing analytics to identify cost reduction opportunities, revenue growth, and margin improvement. This role will also involve improving and automating data collection and analysis, examining product costs, and working with operations and engineering teams to quantify and prioritize cost reduction activities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities and develop recommendations for implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and finance, to drive cost reduction initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain cost models and forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on cost reduction progress and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Co-op eligible STEM or business program.
  • Previous experience with data analysis and cost reduction initiatives is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
