Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Research Administration team at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of research programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing excellent service to researchers and study sponsors.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and monitoring of research program budgets, ensuring compliance with sponsor and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support research decision-making.
  • Collaborate with researchers, study sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis and budgeting, preferably in a healthcare or research environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software applications, including Excel and financial management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
