The Canadian Red Cross is seeking an experienced Indigenous Community Engagement Specialist to join our team in Quebec, Canada.

About the Role:

  • To support the development of a strategic plan to implement the CSE strategy within Quebec Indigenous communities, ensuring alignment with CRC's existing internal and external relations as well as current strategies and operations within these communities.
  • To manage the development, planning, and improvement of Quebec Indigenous Community Engagement strategies that support formal agreements and service contracts with the Risk Reduction and Resilience (RRR) program and CSE strategy.
  • To identify, establish, and maintain strong working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders to implement the CSE strategy and other CRC operations within Quebec Indigenous communities.

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program management, including experience working with Indigenous communities.
  • Three years of experience managing a team, in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous cultures and extensive cultural awareness of Indigenous networks, organizations, and communities in the province.
  • Experience in building volunteer, community, and government partnerships with specific reference to working with Indigenous communities.
