About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transformational Leader to join our team as an Executive Director in Canada. This exciting opportunity will enable you to leverage your expertise to drive strategic growth, manage complex programs, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the ministry unit, driving business and program-related matters forward.
  • Budget Management: Direct and oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring effective financial planning and management.
  • Community Engagement: Facilitate implementation of Territorial standards and best practices, reflecting the economic, service, and business environment.
  • Property Maintenance: Ensure all property is inspected and maintained in compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Employee Relations: Oversee or directly manage effective employee/labour relations practices, consulting with the Divisional Director of Human Relations.
  • Client Care: Determine how client care is delivered, anticipate new services/programs, and strive for continuous improvement in programs and client relationships.
  • Union Negotiations: Participate in union negotiations as the senior local manager.
  • Fundraising: Initiate, maintain, and promote positive working relationships/partnerships and communications with funders and community stakeholders.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Education: Completed an Undergraduate University degree, preferably B.A., B.Sc., or B.Sc.N.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of prior related experience, including supervisory and budget management experience in a not-for-profit social services environment.
Preferred Skills/Capabilities:
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) to relate easily to a diverse team of staff and clients.
  • Leadership: Managerial leadership skills to lead effective change management, organizational development, and staff engagement.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen in analyzing and reporting on business/financial health and risks.
Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $78,446 to $117,667, based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
