Technical Sales Representative

ChampionX is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Fort McMurray, AB. As a District Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers in the oil and gas industry, providing technical support and solutions to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet defined territory profit increase goals
  • Work closely with customers to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on ChampionX products and services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant or facility executives
  • Travel required to support business requirements and training opportunities

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
  • Strong computer application literacy (including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and build relationships with customers
  • Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 55 pounds chest high
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of customer service/technical sales experience
  • Specialty chemical industry experience, including Water Treatment and knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems
  • High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)
