About the Role

Amilia is a dynamic and innovative company that is revolutionizing the way recreation organizations leverage technology. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team and drive financial efficiency and strategic decision-making within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Leadership and Strategy
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and management of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and financial technology to optimize our financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize daily cash flow and manage foreign exchange and interest rate risks to minimize financial exposure.
  • Provide financial expertise to support the product management team as a subject matter expert, particularly in accounting and reporting features, to ensure accurate and timely financial analysis.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including negotiation and management of software licenses, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) during financing activities, such as fundraising and investor relations, to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  1. Financial Operations and Accounting Accuracy
  • Supervise the monthly closing process to ensure accurate financial analysis and timely reporting, including the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Oversee payroll production and government remittances to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Lead the annual financial audit and finalize audited financial statements to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Engage with department leaders to review performance against budgets and previous years to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial performance.
  1. Policies, Compliance, and Improvements
  • Structure and supervise disbursement processes to ensure timely reconciliation of accounts payable and minimize financial risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and internal policies, including the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures.
  • Manage insurance policies and coverage to ensure adequate protection against financial risks.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop career growth plans to ensure the development and retention of high-performing team members.
  • Identify training needs and provide necessary coaching to ensure the development of financial skills and knowledge within the team.
