We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Dealer Relations Specialist to join our team at RBC Investor Services Trust. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication between our clients and the Broker/Dealer and Intermediary community. Your exceptional knowledge of mutual funds, hedge funds, and segregated funds will enable you to effectively manage and act as a contact for external Brokers, Dealers, or Intermediaries. You will investigate and respond to inquiries, maintain dealer and intermediary setups, and resolve trade processing and settlement issues. Your strong communication and client relation skills will be essential in developing and maintaining relationships to ensure consistent quality of service delivery to our clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and respond to inquiries received by phone, email, and workflow tools
- Maintenance of Dealer, Intermediary, advisor setup on our record keeping system
- Investigate and action Fundserv file and trade issues that are encountered across all clients
- Commission and trailer fee reconciliation
- Develop and maintain relationships to ensure consistent quality of service delivery to our clients and partners
- Educate dealers on new industry standards and requirements
- Represent Dealer Relations in operational meetings and client launches
- Creation and distribution of Fund Information Sheets
- Communicate, monitor and disseminate information using Fundserv's Fund Company Bulletin automatic mailing service as well as targeted emails
- Act as a mentor and assist in problem resolution for team members
- Continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes to help increase overall efficiency and reduce risk
- Communicate and any issues encountered to the senior manager of the department
- Provide any reporting, such as dealer audits, required
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant work experience within the financial industry
- Mutual Fund Back Office or Dealer Back office Operational experience
- Exceptional knowledge in Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, and Segregated Funds
- Strong communication and client relation skills
- Strong, effective organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong knowledge of Investment fund Industry and Fundserv distribution network
