Job Title: Pumping Product Sales Manager
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Pumping Product Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new accounts and generating business from existing customers in the water pump industry in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pumping product sales, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a sales management or field specialist role. They will be skilled in building relationships with customers, specification engineers, and other key stakeholders to optimize customer engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
The Pumping Product Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- Selling pumping products and services to customers in their assigned territory
- Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve sales targets and business objectives
- Collaborating with leadership to create and execute sales plans, including prospecting, qualifying, and cultivating new sales leads
- Partnering with key peers in the organization to assist in closing complex and/or technical sales
- Participating in the hiring process of new staff and responsible for firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on company CRM system of all important customer correspondence, quotations, commitments, contracts, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience selling pumping products as a sales manager or field specialist, or equivalent client-facing experience
- Demonstrated success in presenting and selling mechanical solutions to executives, management, field, and engineering personnel from organizations in the industrial field
- Good technical level understanding of relevant products from at least three of the following brands: ARO, PACO, GRUNDFOS, PEERLESS, SACEMI, JOHN CRANES, G&L GOULDS, BARNES
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Development, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection and Safety, Manufacturing, or equivalent education/training/experience
- Broad knowledge of the Pump, instrumentation, systems Controls, and/or Metering fields
- Proven mastery of sales techniques, ability to identify improvement opportunities for the team, train/coach peers when required, and know when it's time to close a deal
- Maintains a large, influential network of contacts with highly visible industry presence
