Job Title: Assessment Coordinator

Interior Health is seeking a term specific full-time Assessment Coordinator to join the Mental Health (MH) team at the Community Health and Services Centre in Kelowna, B.C.

This term position is until June 3, 2026.

What You Will Work On:

This position supports case management and assessment of the Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions assessments for the Children's Assessment Network.

The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for a high-volume caseload as well as supporting the work of doctors that are doing the diagnostics and assessments.

This position provides intake, triage, and assessment services for children with complex developmental behavioral conditions.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, contributes the psycho-social assessment component.

Through interdisciplinary team practice, the position provides therapeutic supports to children and youth moving through the assessment process, provides support to families, provides practical recommendations for intervention, and uses teaching strategies to enhance parent and caregiver skills.

Provides consultation, urgent psychiatric response, client/family/caregiver counselling, hospital liaison, care conferencing, and care coordination, as required.

Scheduling Information:

Days of work are from Monday to Fridays, and shift times are from 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
