Interior Health is seeking a skilled Assessment Coordinator to join our Mental Health team at the Community Health and Services Centre in Kelowna, B.C.
About the RoleThis is a term-specific, full-time position until June 3, 2026. As an Assessment Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting case management and assessment of Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions for the Children's Assessment Network.
Key Responsibilities- Receive referrals for CDBC assessments and provide a detailed review and triage for assessments into appropriate streams or provide alternate recommendations to the referral source.
- Conduct direct psycho-social and family assessments, obtain consents, and collect relevant prior assessments and history.
- Administer standardized assessment protocols and prepare written assessments, including assessment and treatment history.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop policies and protocols for service delivery using a best practice approach.
- Advocate for clients' needs by coordinating the involvement of other team members and/or health providers.
- Provide consultation to developmental disability care facilities, Mental Health Outpatient Teams, and other referral agencies to improve client care.
- Write and maintain reports and statistics of relevant observations of patient care.
