About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our team at Ansys. As an Application Engineer II, you will play a critical role in supporting our software products and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop expertise in one or more of our software products, working independently to resolve customer issues and improve product functionality.
  • Provide exceptional customer support, answering questions on tool functionality and troubleshooting product defects.
  • Triage customer complaints, identifying root causes and collaborating with R&D teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop clear and concise descriptions of product enhancement requests, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Work behind the scenes, taking direction from a mentor to assist with evaluations, benchmarks, and demos.
  • Develop strong relationships with team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with EDA tools, including layout, Static Timing Analysis, Extraction-SPEF/DSPF, Spice, and IC/ASIC design flow knowledge from RTL to GDSII.
  • Custom circuit analysis and design expertise, as well as knowledge of low power design methodologies.
  • Programming skills in Python, Tcl, or other languages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical expertise in analyzing and designing digital, mixed-signal, and analog designs.
  • Experience with developing methodologies for analyzing digital designs for voltage drop (EMIR) and reliability analyses.
  • Experience in large-scale commercial software support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
