Strategic Store Operations Leader

The Director of Store Operations plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of Eataly store operations. Collaborating with senior leadership, this position plans and executes strategies to drive sales, increase profitability, and foster a positive experience for guests and team members in line with Eataly's vision.
This leader reports directly to the VP of Operations and manages the store's leadership team in Restaurants, Retail, Quick Service, Culinary, Facilities, and works closely with Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with corporate and global senior leadership to understand company strategy and develop strategic plans for store operations aligned with overall business objectives
- Direct the store strategy and oversee day-to-day operations to ensure Eataly standards are consistently met regarding guest service, financial performance, efficient processes, health and safety
- Lead labor management, costs, inventory, regulatory compliance, pricing, and merchandising initiatives
- Develop and manage the store operations budget, implementing cost control measures while maintaining high quality standards
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure and improve store performance
- Analyze sales data, guest feedback, and other relevant metrics to inform decisions
- Foster interdepartmental collaboration, maintaining open communication with store leaders on store performance and strategic initiatives
- Serve as the final decision-making point of contact for addressing problems related to the store
- Motivate, inspire, and develop team members by setting clear expectations and leading by example
- Collaborate with HR to actively participate in hiring, performance reviews, and terminations
- Represent the store to the community and guests
- Perform other duties as required or assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of management experience in high-volume, fast-paced restaurant and/or retail environments
- Passion for Italian food and hospitality
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Exceptional communication, leadership, motivational, and team-building skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and business management skills
- Experience with Italian cuisine and wine preferred
The annual compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $140,000.
