About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Character Rigger to join our team in Vancouver, Canada. As a CSG Character Rigger, you will be responsible for rigging game assets that conform to technical guidelines and contribute to the artistic vision of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Rigging Lead to create rigged assets that meet technical guidelines.
  • Follow direction from the Rigging Lead and seek feedback from peers and art leads.
  • Troubleshoot and fix content issues and test assets on the target platform.
  • Participate in team meetings for effective communication.
  • Meet project deadlines and milestones set by project leads.
  • Document new rigging tool techniques and workflows as required.
  • Be a positive and creative force in the team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of professional rigging experience or equivalent.
  • AA/BFA preferred or equivalent industry standard level of rigging demonstrated through a portfolio.
  • Proficiency in Maya and ability to learn new tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of human/animal anatomy and clean and efficient smooth skinning practices.
  • Passion for the industry and understanding of industry trends and technologies.
  • Proactive work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn in-studio workflow and tools.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Python scripting knowledge.
  • Experience with MotionBuilder.
  • Knowledge of cloth or simulation.
