Job Title: Rigger

We are seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team at Sony Pictures Imageworks. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for creating 3D character rigs and animation interface controls for skeletal motion systems and body deformations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement 3D character rigs and animation interface controls
  • Develop utility scripts and core software tools to streamline the character setup process
  • Collaborate with production, supervisors, and team members to problem-solve and share information related to show/assigned tasks
  • Meet schedules and show deadlines, participate in dailies, rounds, and team reviews of work in progress
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of applicable software platforms, including LINUX, UNIX, Maya, Mudbox, shell, and MEL scripting language
  • Background or experience in fine art, accompanied by a thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, and form
  • 2-year diploma or 1-year certificate, or 2-3 years of experience in the field
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $26.44 to $36.32/hr for Associate position, $53.80/hr for Intermediate position
  • Benefits, including healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, standard increases as applicable
