We are seeking a skilled Character Rigger to join our team. As a Character Rigger, you will be responsible for creating rigged assets that conform to technical guidelines and contribute to the artistic vision of the project.
About the Job- Work closely with the Rigging Lead to create rigged assets that meet technical guidelines.
- Follow direction from the Rigging Lead and seek feedback from peers and art leads.
- Troubleshoot and fix content issues and test assets on the target platform.
- Participate in team meetings for effective communication.
- Meet project deadlines and milestones set by project leads.
- Document new rigging tools, techniques, and workflows as required.
- Minimum 3 years of professional rigging experience or equivalent.
- AA/BFA preferred or equivalent industry-standard level of rigging demonstrated through a portfolio.
- Proficiency in Maya and ability to learn new tools and processes.
- Knowledge of human/animal anatomy and clean and efficient smooth skinning practices.
- Passion for the industry and understanding of industry trends and technologies.
- Proactive work ethic and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn in-studio workflow and tools.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
- Python scripting knowledge.
- Experience with MotionBuilder.
- Knowledge of cloth or simulation.
Competitive bill rate up to $80.00/hour.
