Business Development Lead

The role of Business Development Lead at Scotiabank involves leading and overseeing a Canadian Business Banking Mid-Market team, ensuring the execution of business strategies and initiatives in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
This position requires meeting objectives related to profitable growth and client satisfaction for an assigned portfolio of Business Clients by providing strategic direction, leadership, and oversight for Relationship Management and Execution across the Mid-Market segment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develops sales management strategies and leads the implementation of tactical plans for the assigned geographic area to support the Canadian Business Banking strategy and business objectives.
- Leverages resources to support strategies, motivates and focuses the efforts of the Relationship and Support team members.
- Ensures the customer portfolio receives ongoing attention to improve and retain relationships by actively engaging in Business Development programs and coaching team members.
- Maintains a high market profile within the assigned market area with both internal and external contacts.
Talent Management:
- Learns and leverages knowledge of the Bank's commercial financial product suite to meet customer needs.
- Balances multiple priorities, leads direct reports, and fosters an inclusive work environment.
- Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team.
