Job Title: Field Support Specialist I

Join Mohawk College as a Field Support Specialist I and contribute to the success of our students, faculty, and staff. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to various special initiatives and functions within the School of Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service support to students, faculty, and staff, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to student and faculty matters.
  • Assist with duties and responsibilities during peak workload times, including program support, helpdesk, and office administration.
  • Provide backup support for support staff and the Assistant to the Associate Dean as needed.
  • Liaise with Property Services to arrange mail pick-ups during the semester.
  • Support faculty in delivering paper-based assessments using Akindi.
  • Accept printing deliveries and notify faculty of their arrival.
  • Unpack office supplies and notify faculty of their arrival.
  • Track and manage parking passes for faculty and staff.
  • Report graduation requirements met to associate governance.
  • Update program handbooks and website content as required.
  • Prepare manual timesheets for part-time employees.
  • Assist in planning and organizing special college marketing events and department activities.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two-year post-secondary education in Office/Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least three years of related work experience, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and client relationship building skills.
  • Advanced computer knowledge in MS Office, Calendaring, Millennium, Banner, Fast Suite, and Internet research.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to deal with clients, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
