About the Role
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Sechelt Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of rehabilitative activities in occupational therapy and physiotherapy scope of practices.
- Support the team with duties such as receiving assignments, demonstrating and teaching activities, adapting devices, and providing functional direction to patients.
- Report relevant observations of patient progress and behaviors.
- Provide direction to volunteers and maintain an established inventory of supplies.

Sechelt Hospital is an acute care facility located in Sechelt, British Columbia, serving over 30,000 residents of the Lower Sunshine Coast. We provide a range of services, including emergency care, renal program, mental health and substance use services, surgical services, and imaging services.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program.
- Ability to communicate effectively, deal with others effectively, and organize work.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
