Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Diagnostic Specialist to join our team at Mackenzie Health. As a key member of our diagnostic services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care through the provision of accurate and timely diagnostic testing.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the operations of our cardiac diagnostic department, including performing ECGs, reviewing strips for abnormalities, and alerting medical staff as needed. You will also be responsible for preparing patients for stress tests and monitoring their well-being during the procedure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing ECGs and reviewing strips for abnormalities
- Alerting medical staff to any potential issues or concerns
- Preparing patients for stress tests and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding promptly to any changes or concerns
- Scanning reports and identifying irregularities in patient cardiac patterns
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Certification and current membership in good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists or equivalent
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on cardiac diagnostics and stress testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Working at Mackenzie Health
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for professional growth and development, and a dynamic work environment that values teamwork and collaboration.
