Dietitian Specialist

The Dietitian Specialist is responsible for providing nutritional care to patients in accordance with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and Mackenzie Health\'s standards. They work collaboratively within the healthcare team to ensure effective and current dietetic practice and deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Address and resolve issues in a productive and respectful manner.
- Exhibit sound professional judgment and adhere to best practice guidelines.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for all through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Current Registration and good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
- Graduate of a recognized university program with a major in food and nutrition, and successful completion of a Dietetic Internship or Practicum.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
- Two years of clinical experience preferred, with previous experience in Medicine being an asset.

- Possess strong conflict management and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work in a computerized healthcare environment.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal English skills.

- Ability to function independently and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Ensures and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Proven attendance record.
- Demonstrates understanding and compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.
- Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health\'s Commitment to Caring.
