About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to utilize their business acumen and strategic thinking skills to drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and provide advice on managerial methods and organization of establishments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions
  • Develop and propose improvements to systems, procedures, and methods, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Plan and supervise re-organization of operations, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to business activities
  • Lead and manage a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, management, or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of driving business growth and improving organizational performance
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong computer and technology skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Visio, MS Word, and MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery
  • Knowledge of business management principles, including strategic planning, marketing, finance, and human resources
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
