Cenovus, an integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary, is seeking a highly skilled Information Governance Specialist to oversee the management of centralized physical records and provide guidance on best practices for information management.



Job Description


This role involves contributing to the development and implementation of information governance strategies, directing service providers to manage records, and advising staff on best practices for creating, sharing, and storing documents. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the ecosystem of SharePoint sites within the Workplace and Real Estate team, including permission management, library/list/site creation, migration of new content, and troubleshooting issues.



Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement information governance strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the management of centralized physical records through their entire lifecycle (creation to destruction)
  • Direct service providers to perform tasks required to manage records
  • Advise staff on best practices for information management, including document creation, sharing, and storage
  • Maintain the ecosystem of SharePoint sites within the Workplace and Real Estate team, including permission management, library/list/site creation, migration of new content, and troubleshooting issues


Requirements



  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Degree or diploma in a related field, such as records/information management, library information technology, or a related field would be an asset
  • At least 5 years of experience in information governance, document/records management preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude with the O365 suite of tools (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive)
  • Strong working knowledge of SharePoint, including site maintenance and permission management
  • Proficiency in using Content Server, with particular emphasis on Records Management functionality (searching, applying classification, creating collections, running disposition reports, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of records management principles and practices


Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
