Project Scheduler Job Description

At Modern Niagara, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our team in Vaughan. As a key member of the Project Controls Team, you will play a crucial role in planning and scheduling projects from pursuit to closeout.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to monitor progress, identify potential delays, and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Represent the organization during client discussions and provide regular schedule updates.
  • Support the creation of template schedules and project controls tools.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining a database of construction productivity rates and project risk items.
  • Identify and incorporate unplanned events into the schedule.
  • Provide guidance and direction on project control problems, including time impact analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedule logs and progress reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, or related experience.
  • 8-10 years of construction scheduling experience.
  • Strong communication and technology skills, with proficiency in project controls software.
  • Advanced understanding of field construction operations and critical path scheduling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict timelines and changing needs.
