Kitchen Operations Manager

At Original Joe's Cold Lake, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and leading a team of cooks and kitchen assistants.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
- Train and develop kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen assistants, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records of stock levels and waste.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment and facilities are clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food preparation procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Monitor and control kitchen costs, including labor, inventory, and utilities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
The kitchen is a fast-paced environment with a high level of noise and activity. The kitchen is equipped with commercial cooking equipment and facilities.
