Kitchen Manager Job Description

At Original Joe's Cold Lake, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, kitchen helpers, and working groups.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including food order summaries for the chef.
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
Work Environment:

The kitchen environment can be fast-paced and physically demanding, with exposure to hot temperatures, odors, and noise. The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
