About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team at Amico. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely estimates for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Estimation: Provide hospital headwall designs as per clients' requests using CAD workstations such as AutoCAD and Microvellum.
  • Quotation and Presentation: Create and update preliminary presentation drawings and quotations for hospital headwalls and architectural casework.
  • Project Pricing: Estimate total project pricing based on architectural plans and specifications.
  • Communication: Contact sales and discuss the technical properties of the project.
  • Design Review: Prepare and review drawing details with the engineering team for producing accurate presentation drawings of healthcare products such as headwalls and architectural casework.
  • Bidding Documents: Create technical headwall drawings for bidding documents.
  • Document Management: Review and complete documents and submittal packages for a faster and more accurate movement of projects.
  • Site-Specific Work: Work and draft projects based on specific site codes and regulations.
  • Issue Identification: Flag potential and significant issues upfront and provide solutions to the sales team and Production engineering team.
  • Client Support: Create estimates for clients to help them plan their budget.
  • Analytical Skills: Have a good experience of reading architectural floor plans and good analytical skills.

Requirements:

  • Background: Background in Architecture or Engineering is preferable.
  • Software Skills: Good software skills, especially Autodesk AutoCAD, Blue-Beam, and any skill on Microvellum is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in quantity take off / Estimation.
