We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Estimator to join our team at Steel Art Signs. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, as well as providing economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs, including master format estimates (Class A) and elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D).
- Project Management: Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects, including project cash flow and financing requirements.
- Reporting: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms.
- Communication: Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Analysis: Analyze tenders and recommend awards, as well as set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
- Supply Chain Management: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
- Health and Safety: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
