Recruitment Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Recruitment Specialist to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the success of our organization.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting notices and advertisements, collecting and screening applicants, advising job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment, reviewing candidate inventories, contacting potential applicants to arrange interviews, co-ordinating and participating in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates, notifying applicants of results of selection process and preparing job offers, advising managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures, organizing staff consultation and grievance procedures, negotiating settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinating termination of employment process, determining eligibility to entitlements and arranging staff training, supervising personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties, and recruiting and hiring staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information
- Conduct thorough assessments of candidate qualifications and experience
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and job applicants
- Collaborate with HR teams to develop and maintain fair and equitable employment practices
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in recruitment or human resources
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with electronic mail systems and software applications
- Familiarity with information technology systems and tools
- A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
