We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team at Lallemand.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning production in terms of orders, demand forecasts, and production constraints. They will oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels to meet demand and take into account space constraints in the warehouse. Additionally, they will participate in the development of the weekly shipping schedule, create and update production vouchers according to specific customer needs, and ensure good coordination with the laboratory to provide sufficient lead time for product release prior to shipment. The role also involves establishing and updating the raw material and packaging requirements plan, supervising logistics employees, assisting the warehouse manager in managing and organizing the warehouse, recruiting necessary staff, and maintaining CTPAT certification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan production in accordance with orders, demand forecasts, and production constraints.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet demand and optimize warehouse space.
  • Develop and implement the weekly shipping schedule.
  • Create and update production vouchers based on customer needs.
  • Ensure timely communication with the laboratory to coordinate product release.
  • Establish and maintain the raw material and packaging requirements plan.
  • Supervise logistics employees to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse manager to optimize warehouse organization and efficiency.
  • Recruit staff as needed to support departmental functions.
  • Maintain CTPAT certification.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Operations Management and/or Logistics.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
