Job Description

A leading global organization in the outdoor apparel and sporting goods industry is seeking an experienced Logistics Project Manager to strengthen their End-to-End Supply Chain capabilities within their North American presence.

This role will be responsible for optimizing the network based on the Distribution and Transportation strategy, driving Distribution and Transportation projects with a solid project management approach to enable growth, drive warehouse strategy, define degree of automation used in warehouses and delivery centers, improve speed to customer, channel transformation towards D2C, optimize cost & quality of service, and improve Distribution and Transportation processes.

Main areas of responsibility include owning the concept & business case of the project, defining project scope definition, designing the master plan, identifying risks, proposing mitigation plans, contributing to project team creation, leading regular project steering committees with senior management, driving the realization and being responsible for all project resources, mapping out and implementing optimal systems and process improvements, monitoring the project (cost / timing / scope / risks / prioritization), and driving related communication.

The ideal candidate will have project management skills, knowledge of SCM, Logistics, Warehousing, and/or Intra-Logistics, fluent English language skills, and basic knowledge in French, German, or Spanish. Analyzing complex data with relevant tools and knowing how to interpret the data is essential, as well as analyzing end-to-end processes and identifying optimal systems and process improvements.

A Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering is required, along with minimum 10 years of professional work experience in project management, preferably in the Logistics / Warehousing / Transportation sector. Knowledge in real estate projects and/or IT-projects, as well as knowledge about Logistics 3PL warehouse provider and/or contract logistics, is also desirable.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
