Occupational Therapist Position Opportunity in Northern Health

Northern Health Authority is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will perform assessments and interventions related to patients' occupational performance in accordance with established Occupational Therapy practices and national provincial college standards. As a team member under the general supervision of the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote functional independence and enable clients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct assessments and develop interventions to address patients' occupational performance deficits
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement client-centered care plans
• Provide education and training to clients, families, and healthcare professionals to enhance occupational performance and health outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of occupational therapy services
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to occupational therapy services
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
• Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
